This is an interesting idea. Thank you for blogging about it and giving me a place to come back to if I participate. Thanks also for visiting Writing in Faith.
It’s sweet but implies that there is nothing else in the world going on BUT grief over V Tech. I’m sorry it happened and terribly sorry for the families, but I don’t see how this helps. When I blogs, I prays (for all anyone else knows).
I know it is merely a symbol. I wrote about it as well, but posted the one with out the Virgina reference, wanting people to think about all victims. I am participating, and will repost it on the 30th. Some people have mentioned they aren’t spending the whole day reflecting, but that is NOT what it is asking, just during blog time, and many only spend a few minutes writing their blog entries.
I’m joining. I think having a lot of blogs show support to the grieving families can somehow give some comfort. It would also be a comfort to all participants because we want to be able to reach out to these families.
Produced in 2002 by the Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center's Center for Research and Training in Humane and Ethical Care, this film does not document all of the facts of the case accurately, but, overall, the cautionary message is appropriate and well-presented.
